Classic Transportation chose the DriveCam Driving Feedback System because it provided the opportunity to capture and manage driving incidents before they become crashes.
The DriveCam Driving Feedback System directly addresses the root cause of most collisions and unsafe driving behavior. Driving behaviors are captured by DriveCam, a small video camera mounted unobtrusively behind the rear view mirror. Risky driving behaviors automatically trigger recordings that are downloaded to a computer network for frame-by-frame analysis using HindSight 20/20 software. When drivers receive direct feedback on their driving habits, they quickly improve.

West Side Commuter Grows Downtown, Down South
Denver International Airport May 9, 2005 West Denver’s leading airport transportation carrier has announced service to Downtown Denver and certain south metro locations including the Denver Tech Center. Hourly, shared ride airport service begins immediately with more products to follow in the third and fourth quarters. Rates from downtown Denver begin at $15 per person one-way, depending on location. Outlying south metro communities like Littleton and Highlands Ranch are served at $30 with rates increasing farther from DIA.
Retail priced tickets are at Golden West Commuter’s sales counter on Level 5 at DIA or the company’s offices in Golden Gate Canyon. Discounted arrival or departure reservations are available online at www.gwcommuter.com or by calling 303.342.9300 #1. Reservations should be booked at least 24 hours in advance either direction.
Golden West Commuter this year celebrates a 25 year history of quality service to the West Metro communities of Golden, Lakewood, Wheat Ridge and Arvada. “Our commuter service is so unique and professional, lodging hosts and residents in downtown Denver and other metro cities have for years asked us to expand into their area,” according to Dow Markin, Marketing Director for the company. “ A year ago we began installing a new automated reservation system. Fully operational now, it makes us so effective with on-the-road resources that there is room for growth. We haven’t forgotten those requests,” said Markin.
The company was founded in 1980 with 3 vehicles to fill a transit void in Lakewood. In those days, employees at the Denver Federal Center checked out government cars and drove to Stapleton International Airport. With a 1979 downsizing of the Interagency Motor Pool, federal workers gravitated to Golden West. The company now operates almost 30 vehicles and goes as far west as the Continental Divide.
Golden West Commuter’s recent acceptance in GroundNet, the premier international Ground Transportation consortium, assures travelers quality airport transportation from city to city. Visitors here can arrange transit from their home to Denver lodging and back again, all at www.groundnet.com. GroundNet has associates in most major continental U.S. cities as well as Canada, Paris and Honolulu. Golden West Commuter is the only GroundNet provider in the Denver Metro market.
Markin attributes the company’s longevity and success to people, “…our passengers and our employees. More than 50% of our riders are Denver residents that repeat with us, some weekly. Many have ridden Golden West to the airport for the entire 25 years of our existence. Our employees, as well, are professional grade. We hire and train on a peer level with business travelers. Most are mature, post-career people working because they enjoy it.
